PS Naked

Since the end of phaunt U last year I've gotten tons of request emails from people who were bummed that they wouldn't be able to take the course. I love teaching but needed a format that would give me more time to devote to making NEW materials.

You may remember, in 2008, I had introduced the PS Naked site/etc, but never was able to continue with the concept because of how busy things got. I've decided to pick up where I left off and 2010 is going to be the year to get NAKED!

If you're tired of struggling to learn Photoshop on your own, then you can breathe easy, the answer is here!

The first PS Naked course that will be available is going to be a total revamping of the old phaunt U course that has had over 150 satisfied students. The course will include:
  • Brand New videos- The material will be similar to the old U, but updated and some topics changed SEE THE OLD TOPICS HERE- more than 30 videos in all!
  • New Workbook with quizzes/homework for you to practice your new skills
  • Weekly Live Chats with Me (and fellow classmates) to ask any questions you have
  • Option to have a hard copy of the videos/workbook to keep for reference at any time
  • Gift Certificate for Actions/Presets ($50)
  • Free Yearly Forum membership ($49)
  • Opportunity to take further classes (as added)
The price for this new class is ONLY $275. This price is $200 LESS than what the regular phaunt U was, but part of my goal is to make the materials available to more people. This first group of students will be the ONLY class at this price.

So, is this new course for you?? Well If you.....

  1. Are wanting to learn Photoshop (see here for topics covered)- Duh!
  2. Are Motivated to learn.. You WILL learn the material if you are committed to the process!
  3. Are willing to give feedback on the experience and share ideas/insight into what helps THEM learn
  4. Are willing to give input to other photographers
  5. Have Photoshop CS3 or CS4 (other versions will work but videos will be recorded in CS4!.. contact Kylie if you have another version and want to sign up)
  6. Aren't afraid to have a little fun (I'm an admitted dork and you'll probably roll your eyes at least a few times at me during the course of this experience)
  7. Have access to a Microphone/Headphones or be able to call in on a phone to participate in the audio portion of the chat

Then get ready to GET NAKED and finally LEARN PHOTOSHOP!

The tentative start date for the new class is February 1st. I will be contacting students sooner than this to set up a chat for everyone to get to know eachother, chat a little bit about how the class will work, and get feedback on what you'd like to see.

I am taking a very LIMITED number of people so that the group is manageable. If you are interested please don't wait, as I'm not sure exactly when the next spots will be opened up.

If you're ready to sign up, use the button below! After payment you will be taken to a page to fill out an application. If you have any questions about the course please shoot me an email at info@phaunt.com! I can't wait to get started!

The differences between this class and the Old phaunt U? Well the material will be the same topics, covered in the same depth and quality. Unlike the old U, you will not be submitting your assignments after every video. I found many people weren’t able to do this, and it took most of my time just to go thru them and give critiques. We will have an area to ask questions, but most of the questions/etc will be addressed during the weekly chats. I’ve found most people learn best with immediate feedback and watching me work through something, so I think this will be much better than having to post and wait for responses. I also forsee this format having much more interaction between students than in the past, which benefits everyone!

I plan on releasing many more classes in the coming year. Part of the problem of the old format was that I didn’t have TIME to get any other classes created, so I’m hoping this will change that. Next on the schedule after this class gets rolling is a Photoshop 101 course that covers the VERY BASICS (like going over each tool/etc), for those brand spankin new to photoshop.

Here's what just a FEW Of the phaunt U students had to say about the course:

“It was fun! I totally recommend the course, I learned alot and really appreciate being able to easily look back at my binder and bug Kylie for questions she always answers. The one on one support when needed is superb! If you’re thinking about…I say GO FOR IT” Tiffany J.

“I loved the course! Learned a lot of things I didn’t know before. Thank you Kylie for a great course!” Jenny J.

“Several weeks ago, as a Photoshop beginner with the barest bit of knowledge and experience, I signed up for Kylie’s Phaunt U. I didn’t want to fall into the self-taught trap of being able to get things done, but not really knowing how they were done or what was happening when I hit “PLAY.” I wanted a better understanding of all the pieces, parts and variables — a good foundation to build on and practice (over and over and over!), a place to start experimenting and hopefully begin to develop a workflow and style all my own. Kylie’s course turned out to be exactly what I needed. I definitely have more confidence in my abilities with Photoshop, including a more adventurous attitude, and I’m hungry for more.
I can’t say enough, and definitely recommend it to anyone who is struggling to understand Layers and Levels and Masks (Oh My!) — and a ton more. My fellow graduates were terrific to learn with, too. It was great to interact with them, get feedback, share a few “lightbulb” moments. Congrats to all of you — all of us!!” Vicki M.

“Kylie’s class is awesome and she does such a great job of explaining things. There is so much that I “get” now as a result of taking this class and I’m so glad I did it.
Thanks again, Kylie for offering this course. I’m so sad it’s over!!” -Evie C.

“Let me just put a plug in here for this amazing class! We’re almost to week 3 and it’s so great!!!! i can’t recommend this enough - very thorough, easy to follow and a great way to learn ps! I’m loving it!!!!” -Kim B.

“I’d say i’m an intermediate user of PS and I have already learned SO much and we’re only on Week 2! It’s really cool actually learning how to do something that an action does. Learn the back-end behind it.” -Stephanie T

“I’m so glad to be a part of the U! Everything is so easy to understand and the videos make it easy to work along step-by-step. The weekly chats help tie everything together and Kylie is always available to answer any questions we may have. Just in the first couple weeks, my post-processing has greatly improved!! I encourage anyone, in any level experience in Photoshop to sign up - you won’t regret it!” - Christina H.
